Jo Gibbs is a designer, craftswoman, artist and interior decorator. She trained at Chelsea Art College, and worked in Italy for ten years, as a textile designer in high-end fashion. Returning to Britain, both disillusioned and inspired by the throwaway culture of fashion, Jo set up her own studio, dedicated to sourcing items of the highest quality and adding a stylish twist. Developing her own unique technique, which Jo calls "netching", she pioneered a variety of ways of transferring patterns onto natural surfaces, including wood, slate, glass, metal and leather.

Jo specialises in bespoke furniture and accepts commissions to transform entire rooms, homes and business premises. Jo also works with architects, interior designers and landscape gardeners, to add pattern and texture elements to design projects. She does this skilfully, making spaces and objects special, unique and beautiful, while maintaining their own lustre, personality and function.
